Spain´s Emerging Destinations

Rebuilding the perception of the Hospitality Industry.

Destinations matter, and there is a lot more worth seeing in this world than the Instagram-famous sites.

In 2021 we have much to look forward to: the anticipation and availability of COVID-19 vaccines, resuming to hopefully a new normal, and most of all, feeling comfortable being together again. In this challenging time at best, we have learned a great deal of the resilience of our industry. This industry is built on people who wish to and have the passion to serve. There’s no playbook on how to manage through a Pandemic. That’s why we are embracing how to best make an impact and honor human connection, if COVID has taught us anything, it is just how interconnected we are. Therefore, we want to bring Spain a little bit closer to you, by talking about “emerging destinations” in Spain.

How to define Emerging Destinations?

Cititravel DMC believes emerging destinations are not necessarily undiscovered places — perhaps a more fitting description would be newly discovered. Sometimes called second-tier cities, there is nothing “second” about them, except that they have less traffic, are less expensive and have less attitude than their more famous big sister cities.

Some cities blast you away, others slowly win you over. Seville disarms and seduces you.
