The El Postiguet beach is located close to the city centre, with an attractive promenade flanked by palm trees. Of note here is that since 1999 a tramway connects Postiguet Beach with Albufereta Beach, up to the ruins of the Roman site of Lucentum, making a very scenic trip along the seafront. After traversing the city and port facilities and heading south, we come to the last of the beaches within the city limits called Saladar, broad, sandy and open, with a pedestrian walkway and offering splendid panoramic views of the bay of Alicante.
